The analyst covering MoneyHero Limited (NASDAQ:MNY) delivered a dose of negativity to shareholders today, by making a substantial revision to their statutory forecasts for this year. Both revenue and earnings per share (EPS) estimates were cut sharply as the analyst factored in the latest outlook for the business, concluding that they were too optimistic previously.
Following this downgrade, MoneyHero's lone analyst are forecasting 2026 revenues to be US$73m, approximately in line with the last 12 months. Losses are predicted to fall substantially, shrinking 31% to US$0.17 per share. Yet prior to the latest estimates, the analyst had been forecasting revenues of US$90m and losses of US$0.12 per share in 2026. Ergo, there's been a clear change in sentiment, with the analyst administering a notable cut to this year's revenue estimates, while at the same time increasing their loss per share forecasts.

The consensus price target fell 25% to US$2.25, with the analyst clearly concerned about the company following the weaker revenue and earnings outlook.
Of course, another way to look at these forecasts is to place them into context against the industry itself. One thing that stands out from these estimates is that revenues are expected to keep falling until the end of 2026, roughly in line with the historical decline of 2.7% per annum over the past three years. By contrast, our data suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in a similar industry are forecast to see their revenue grow 17% per year. So while a broad number of companies are forecast to grow, unfortunately MoneyHero is expected to see its sales affected worse than other companies in the industry.
The most important thing to note from this downgrade is that the consensus increased its forecast losses this year, suggesting all may not be well at MoneyHero. Regrettably, they also downgraded their revenue estimates, and the latest forecasts imply the business will grow sales slower than the wider market. Given the scope of the downgrades, it would not be a surprise to see the market become more wary of the business.
With that said, the long-term trajectory of the company's earnings is a lot more important than next year. At least one analyst has provided forecasts out to 2027, which can be seen for free on our platform here.
