Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Douglas Love, the CEO, President & Director of Annexon, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANNX) recently shelled out US$100k to buy stock, at US$3.83 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, increasing their shareholding by only 7.2%, it can be interpreted as a good sign.

Annexon Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Independent Director Jung Choi bought US$138k worth of shares at a price of US$4.19 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of US$3.64. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.

In the last twelve months insiders purchased 59.07k shares for US$238k. On the other hand they divested 59.70k shares, for US$313k.
