Hehuang Pharmaceutical (00013): Clinical data from several studies will be announced at the 2026 European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Annual Meeting

Zhitong Finance App News, Hehuang Pharmaceutical (00013) announced that it will announce the latest and updated data from several studies on compounds independently developed by Huhuang Pharmaceutical at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) to be held in Madrid, Spain from October 23 to 27, 2026.

Notably, the positive results of two phase III studies of savolitinib (savolitinib) and osimertinib (osimertinib) combinations were selected as oral reports. The results of the SAFFRON global study will be presented at the Presidential Symposium (Presidential Symposium), while the results of the SANOVO China study will be presented during the Selected Oral Report (Proffered Paper) session. Both studies have brought the latest important clinical data. Two phase III studies were simultaneously selected for the latest breakthrough abstract (late-breaking abstract), further demonstrating the huge potential of this fully oral, decarbonized chemotherapy combination to bring major breakthroughs to patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Oral report on the SAFFRON Global Phase III Research Chairs Forum. The study evaluated the combination therapy for patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutant non-small cell lung cancer whose disease progressed after treatment with ositinib and was accompanied by excessive MET expression or amplification. The study announced positive top-line results on August 17, 2026. The combination showed statistically significant and clinically significant improvements in progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) compared to platinum dual-agent chemotherapy.

The SANOVO China Phase III study was selected as the preferred oral report. The study evaluated this combination therapy for previously untreated patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR activating mutations and MET overexpression. The study published positive top-line results on August 31, 2026. The combination therapy showed statistically significant and clinically significant PFS improvements and clinically significant OS benefits compared to osidinib monotherapy.
