The new model also generated results faster than the Opus 5, and tests showed that the text was more clearly expressed. Anthropic plans to continue expanding the 5.5 series in the next few weeks to launch new versions of Claude Sonnet and Haiku. Opus 5.5 is also the first new model launched after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called on the AI industry to support slowing down the pace of technology development.
