J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon is traveling to India this week. As the Wall Street giant steps up its expansion into the Indian market, the bank expects further prosperity in local trading activities. Dimon plans to attend J.P. Morgan Chase's annual investment conference in Mumbai and will meet with executives from major Indian conglomerates at the conference. Dimon has been visiting India regularly in recent years. J.P. Morgan Chase is also continuously expanding its local team in business areas such as investment banking and payment solutions. Last year, J.P. Morgan ranked first in the Indian stock issuance market, leading the way in one of the world's fastest-growing economies and one of the most active financing markets. J.P. Morgan Chase executives expect this boom to continue. “We see significant opportunities in the fields of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, innovative economy, manufacturing, healthcare, consumer, financial services and technology,” Rahul Badhwar, India's senior country director at J.P. Morgan Chase, said in an email before Dimon's visit. “As Indian companies continue to expand globally and multinational companies further expand their operations in India, the demand for strategic consulting, financing and capital markets professional services will only continue to increase.”
