Five departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently jointly issued the “Notice on Organizing and Carrying Out the 2026 National Green Computing Power Facility Recommendation Work” to organize and carry out the national green computing power facility recommendation work. The “Notice” clarifies the specific requirements and procedures for recommending national green computing power facilities, and issues the “2026 National Green Computing Power Facility Evaluation Index System”. The new “Index System” includes four aspects: energy utilization level, carbon emission management level, water resource utilization level, and computing power resource utilization level: judging from the evaluation content, new index requirements such as unit computing power efficiency, digital carbon management, and product carbon footprint are included to further highlight energy efficiency and carbon efficiency leadership; judging from the evaluation allocation, the share of key indicators such as carbon utilization efficiency, water resource utilization efficiency, renewable energy power share, and cabinet resource utilization level further emphasizes the overall requirements of a green, low-carbon, intensive cycle.
