Cotton futures are trading with losses of 66 to 188 points across the front months at midday on Thursday. Crude oil is back down 25 cents per barrel on the session, with the US dollar index up $0.011.
Export Sales from this week showed a total of just 71,231 RB in 2026/27 sales in the week of 9/10. New crop 2027/28 sales came in at 6,160 RB. Shipments totaled 142,078 RB in that week, which was 17.91% above the same week last year.
The Seam reported an average sale price of 75.22 cents in Wednesday’s sale, of 300 bales. The Cotlook A index was down 5 points on 9/16 at 94.60. ICE certified cotton stocks were down 1,313 bales on September 16, with the certified stocks level at 36,617 bales. The Adjusted World Price was back down 441 points on last week to 69.51 cents/lb.
