Wheat Trading with Gains on Tuesday

The wheat complex is trading with contracts higher across the three exchanges. Chicago SRW contracts are posting 2 to 4 cent gains on the session. KC HRW futures are 1 to 2 ¼ cents higher on the day. MPLS spring wheat is 7 to 8 ¼ cents higher at midday. 

On Monday, President Trump called for Ukraine to halt attacking Russian energy infrastructure, with the Kremlin reportedly open to the idea. Ukraine agreed to halt the attacks if Russia agrees to as well. 

The weekly NASS Crop Progress report showed 93% of the US spring wheat crop harvested by Sunday, 1% ahead of the normal pace. The winter wheat crop was lagging the 5 year average for planting pace, by 4 percentage points at 8% complete.

French wheat production for 2026 is estimated at 31.7 MMT according to the country’s farm ministry, down 0.2 MMT from last month. An Algeria tender was set for Tuesday, with a total of nearly 500,000 MT of wheat purchased.

Dec 26 KCBT Wheat  is at $7.94 3/4, up 2 1/4 cents,

Mar 27 KCBT Wheat  is at $8.08 1/4, up 1 1/2 cents,

Dec 26 MIAX Wheat  is at $7.44 1/2, up 8 1/4 cents,

Mar 27 MIAX Wheat  is at $7.64 1/2, up 7 cents,
