The Singapore Exchange is preparing to provide cryptocurrency perpetual futures to US institutions and is expected to be the first major traditional exchange to introduce this popular crypto market product into the mainstream. The exchange filed with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission last month to introduce these contracts to US investors. As a registered overseas exchange, it can provide these products to US institutional investors if it does not receive any objections within 10 days. This move will allow the Singapore Exchange to reach a wider community of hedge funds, asset managers, and proprietary trading institutions since launching Bitcoin and Ethereum perpetual futures in November last year.
