Italgas Teams Up With Cadent, GRDF to Form Renewable Energy Alliance

06:35 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italgas (IG.MI), Cadent, and Gaz Réseau Distribution France, or GRDF, launched the Green Gas Innovation Alliance aimed at integrating renewable energy and low-carbon gases into European networks, according to a Friday release. The group will focus on technologies for the injection of renewable and low-carbon gases, such as biomethane, hydrogen, and synthetic methane, as well as upgrading distribution networks with digitalization tools, integrated sensors, asset management, and expanded infrastructure capacity. Following a first-phase collaboration, the gas distributors may extend the scope of the alliance to other operators and qualified businesses.
