Indonesia Future Asset Securities said that net sales of foreign stocks reached US$119.9 million on Thursday, the highest since June 19. The targets of the sale focused on shares of Bank of Central Asia and the People's Bank of Indonesia. Luli Aya Wisnubroto, head of research on future assets and securities in Indonesia, wrote in the research report that the shares of the two banks were sold off, mainly “the act of settling profits after accumulating chips in the early stages.” Foreign investment continued to increase its holdings in Ankatam Mining, Adalao Andalam Indonesia, Petrindogjayakresi, and Bukit Assam, “indicating that foreign investment is only partially shifting to the commodity sector, not a complete withdrawal from the Indonesian market.” According to Stockbit Securities data, net foreign sales reached IDR 428.96 billion during Friday's early trading session. Dragged down by the technology and energy sector, the biggest drop in the Jakarta Composite Index reached 1.9% on Friday.
