On the 11th, at the 2026 China International Mining Conference held in Tianjin, the Ministry of Natural Resources released the “China Mineral Resources Report”. The report shows that in 2025, China's investment in geological exploration has been growing for the fifth year in a row, and prospecting continues to make significant progress. There are 200 newly discovered non-oil and gas mineral sites across the country, including 63 large sites, 57 medium sites, and 80 small ones. Among them, the minerals with the highest number of newly discovered minerals are gold, iron, coal, manganese, and lithium ores. In 2025, fixed asset investment in China's mining industry achieved positive growth for the fifth year in a row. The production and supply of major mineral products remained stable, and the supply chain of the mineral resources industry chain became more stable. Coal production was 4.85 billion tons, an increase of 1.4% over the previous year. Crude oil production is 216 million tons and has maintained positive growth for seven consecutive years. Natural gas production was 262.06 billion cubic meters, maintaining an increase of 10 billion cubic meters for nine consecutive years.
