The reporter learned today that the 2025 international inspection and testing capability verification work organized by the General Administration of Market Regulation has recently been completed. Competency verification is an internationally accepted quality control method for inspection and testing institutions. Test results evaluate the comprehensive technical level of agency personnel, instruments, equipment, testing methods, environmental facilities, etc., and carry out comprehensive “medical examinations” and “calibrations” of inspection and testing institutions. The 2025 competency verification work focuses on projects with high international attention, such as food, household appliances, and water quality. A total of 91 high-level inspection and testing institutions from 29 economies participated. By establishing a closed loop of “verification-rectification-upgrading”, we will effectively help the joint construction of laboratories in the “Belt and Road” countries improve their technical capabilities and consolidate the foundation of mutual recognition and mutual trust in international inspection and testing.
