SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge Gets Regulatory Nod to Sell Accounting, Advisory Unit

11:18 AM EDT, 09/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge (SB1NO.OL) said Friday the Norwegian Competition Authority approved the planned sale of SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge Forretningspartner. The Norwegian lender will sell its accounting and advisory unit to an entity controlled by finance and IT services company ECIT for net proceeds of 500 million Norwegian kroner, as announced in August. Closing is expected in September, subject to the satisfaction of the remaining conditions.
