According to the Zhitong Finance App, Cathay Pacific Environmental Protection (301203.SZ) announced that the company plans to invest in the construction of a new energy material recycling and battery material production project (Phase 1) in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, with a total investment of about 808 million yuan (batch investment), with an estimated total investment of about 808 million yuan (batch investment). After the completion of the project, it is planned to develop a recycling capacity of 100,000 tons/year of high-purity graphite. Some of the high-purity graphite will be sold directly to foreign countries, and some will be used as raw materials for subsequent surface modification processes; at the same time, 50,000 tons/year of high-purity graphite surface modification capacity for lithium batteries will be formed.
This foreign investment is an extension of the company's business in the direction of pollution control, resource recycling, and green production of new energy materials. The company plans to rely on existing solid waste resource treatment technology, engineering construction and operation management experience to enter high-value utilization of lithium battery anode waste, high-purity graphite purification and graphite anode material production processes to further improve the business chain and cultivate new business growth points.
