Maiwei Biotech announced that the company 9mW1911 has completed a phase IB/IIa clinical study on patients with moderate to severe COPD who have previously smoked, and will announce the latest clinical data in the form of a poster at the 2026 European Respiratory Society Annual Meeting to be held from September 5 to September 9, 2026. The results showed that the annualized incidence of severe COPD exacerbations in the 600 mg and 900 mg dose groups decreased by 24% and 81%, respectively, compared with the placebo group, and the annualized incidence of severe acute exacerbations decreased by 47% and 100%, respectively.
