Chuanneng Power (000155.SZ) plans to invest 100 million yuan to establish a nuclear industry company

According to Zhitong Finance App, Chuanneng Power (000155.SZ) announced that the company plans to jointly invest with controlling shareholders such as Sichuan Energy Development Group Co., Ltd. (“Sichuan Energy Development Group”) and Chengdu Nuclear Power Research and Design Engineering Co., Ltd. to establish Sichuan Energy and Nuclear Industry Co., Ltd. (tentative name, “Nuclear Industry Company” for short). The registered capital of nuclear industry companies is 1 billion yuan. Among them, Sichuan Energy Development Group invested 520 million yuan, with a shareholding ratio of 52%, and was the controlling shareholder of a nuclear industry company; the company invested 100 million yuan, with a shareholding ratio of 10%.

According to reports, the business scope of nuclear industry companies mainly includes research and development and industrialization of uranium-hydrogen zirconium fuel lead-bismuth cooling microreactors; also developing applications in the green energy industry (organic Rankine cycle thermoelectric conversion technology, heat pumps, carbon capture and deep utilization, etc.) and industrialization of technology along the way of microreactors; and simultaneous industrial investment in fields such as nuclear production isotopes, nuclear medicine, nuclear medical equipment, and nuclear medical environmental protection. This investment will help the company forwardly lay out the nuclear industry circuit, expand emerging business segments, and form strategic collaboration with the company's main business of “new energy power+new energy materials”.
