Qualcomm has launched an artificial intelligence-based GPU technology aimed at improving the mobile gaming experience. Qualcomm unveiled the Adreno Neural Fusion on September 2nd. This mobile GPU technology reduces rendering costs and power consumption while achieving higher image quality. The new Adreno GPU uses a three-slice architecture. The GPU is no longer a single unit, but is divided into 3 slices; each slice runs at a clock frequency of 1.45 GHz and can be calculated independently. The architecture also adds on-chip memory technology to support high-speed AI computation. Adreno Neural Fusion will be powered by Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon flagship platform. More details will be officially announced at the Snapdragon Summit to be held on September 22-24.
