Global Digital Holdings (00339)'s profit warning expects that shareholders should account for losses of about HK$5 million in the medium term and change profit to loss year over year

According to the Zhitong Finance App, Global Digital Holdings (00339) announced that the Group expects to obtain losses attributable to the company owners of about HK$5 million in the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, while in the six-month period ending June 30, 2025, profit attributable to the owners of the company is about HK$5.1 million. The Group's performance will show a significant reversal from profit to loss. The Board believes that the shift from profit to loss in the current period was mainly due to the following factors: net loss of about HK$2.6 million in fair value on financial assets included in the profit and loss account in the current period, while net profit from change in fair value was about HK$1.5 million in the same period last year; no other revenue was obtained in the current period; other revenue was about HK$5.6 million in the same period last year; there was no revenue from the sale of subsidiaries in the current period. The relevant revenue for the same period last year was approximately HK$700,000.
