Recently, the semi-annual reports of China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom sparked widespread discussion. The profits of the three major operators are collectively under pressure due to the combination of multiple pressures such as an increase in the value-added tax rate, the decline in traffic dividends, and the peak of traditional business. Under pressure, another curve bucked the trend: AIDC and intelligent computing services have become new growth engines. Although the volume of the new business is not enough to hedge against the decline in the old business, the transformation from a pipeline provider to an intelligent service provider has become the consensus of the three major operators. Judging from financial reports, the trend of conversion between old and new kinetic energy is already very clear. China Mobile's revenue from computing power services in the first half of the year was 52.9 billion yuan, up 14% year on year. Among them, AIDC revenue soared 486.1% year on year, and intelligent computing service revenue was 5.3 billion yuan, a growth rate of 130.1%, contributing 46.1% of the increase in computing power service revenue. China Telecom's intelligent computing revenue increased 95% year-on-year in the first half of the year, and the intelligent computing utilization rate reached 94%. China Unicom's computing power revenue in the first half of the year was 41.9 billion yuan, an increase of 13% over the previous year. Among them, the revenue of the Intelligent Computing Center increased by 11%, and the revenue of intelligent computing increased by 9%. Overall, the computing power and intelligent service revenue of the three operators as a share of the main business revenue is increasing, and the prototype of the new engine has already emerged. Currently, token management is becoming a key driver for the three major operators to break through.
