The Guangdong Bureau of Statistics released a summary of Guangdong's economic performance from January to July 2026. From January to July, the value added of industries above the scale of the province increased by 5.7% year-on-year. By category, the value added of the mining industry increased by 9.5%, the manufacturing industry grew by 5.4%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 8.1%. By industry, key industries grew significantly. The value added of computer, communications, and other electronic equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, professional equipment manufacturing, and general equipment manufacturing increased by 11.5%, 11.0%, 12.0%, and 8.5%, respectively. The development of new quality productivity accelerated. The value added of advanced manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing increased by 6.7% and 11.1% respectively. Among them, the advanced equipment manufacturing industry grew 7.8%. By product, high-tech products are growing well. Production of 3D printing equipment, industrial robots, and integrated circuit products increased by 56.5%, 36.6%, and 34.3% respectively; some green products are growing faster, with production of new energy vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and wind turbine products increasing by 49.0%, 34.3%, and 18.9%, respectively.
