On August 21, Shanghai International Energy Trading Center, a subsidiary of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, successfully completed its first cross-border delivery business. The first batch of 600-ton overseas standard warehouse receipts for No. 20 rubber was generated by overseas distribution Kutaihua Gum Co., Ltd. and sold through delivery, with a delivery amount of RMB 8.84 million. The No. 20 offshore goods that have been delivered will complete physical delivery at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand, marking the successful completion of the entire process of the cross-border delivery mechanism in China's futures market. The first batch of enterprises participating in the cross-border delivery business of No. 20 rubber futures covered various types of market participants, such as domestic and foreign physical enterprises and overseas subsidiaries of futures companies. According to information, the subsequent spot flow of No. 20 rubber offshore goods corresponding to this cross-border delivery is divided into two routes. One part will be shipped back to China and delivered to the raw material warehouses of domestic tire manufacturers after customs clearance; the other part will be resold to overseas tire factories in the form of offshore goods to directly enter overseas consumer markets. Industry insiders pointed out that the implementation of the No. 20 futures cross-border delivery business model is not only a concrete practice of China's futures market serving the real economy, but also an important step for the futures sector to deepen its opening up to the outside world.
