Fresenius SE to Sell 3% Stake in Fresenius Medical Care for EUR300 Million

11:58 PM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fresenius SE (FRE.F) said Thursday it agreed to sell 7.8 million shares in Fresenius Medical Care (FME.F), representing 2.9% of the deconsolidated unit's issued share capital. The German healthcare company is selling the shares to institutional investors for 300 million euros. Net proceeds will be used for net debt reduction and future investments. The sale is expected to result in a low- to mid-double-digit-million-euro book gain in the group's third-quarter results.
