Hong Kong stock opening | Hang Seng Index rose 0.42%, Alibaba-W (09988) and Xiaomi Group-W (01810) rose more than 2%

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 21, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.42% to 25,807.61 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 0.21% to 4710.41 points; and the State-owned Enterprises Index rose 0.37% to 8579.64 points.

Technology network stocks were divided, with Alibaba-W (09988) and Xiaomi Group-W (01810) rising more than 2%; gold stocks strengthened; Shandong Gold (01787) rose more than 3%, Zijin Mining (02899) rose nearly 3%, and Zhaojin Mining (01818) and long-established gold (06181) rose more than 2%.

Real estate stocks were active. Henderson Land (00012) rose more than 3%, and in terms of logistics stocks, Jitu Express-W (01519) rose more than 4%.

Overnight, the three major US stock indices collectively closed down. The Dow fell 1.32%, the S&P 500 index fell 0.87%, the NASDAQ fell 1.00%, the NASDAQ China Golden Dragon Index fell 1.1%; Hong Kong stocks opened higher today.
