Qianyuan Electric Power announced on August 20 that the company plans to invest in the “Key Technology Research and Demonstration of Next-Generation Hydropower Systems Based on New Power Systems” project. The project implementation sites are Beipan River, Sancha River, and Furong River. The total planned investment of the project is 95.5 million yuan, and the planned investment is 8.3 million yuan in 2026. The project broke through the limitations of traditional single-station, stand-alone, and single-component transformation, and pioneered a new paradigm of “watershed level benchmarking evaluation+digital reverse diagnosis+systematic collaborative upgrading” for a new generation of hydroelectric power units. It has filled the gap in the field of “health portrait” construction and general diagnosis technology for existing hydroelectric power groups in China, and has reached the leading level in the industry.
