Xu Wenqiang, director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Transport, explained at a special press conference held by the Ministry of Transport on the 20th that the Ministry of Transport is accelerating the deep integration of artificial intelligence and transportation, focusing on the four major directions of infrastructure, vehicles and equipment, transportation services, and industry governance, sorting out and forming 860 pioneering breakthrough scenarios covering all fields of rail, public transport, water, aviation and mail, and speeding up the construction of a “1+N+X” comprehensive transportation model system. In June of this year, the Ministry of Transport, together with the China Railway Administration, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the State Post Office and the National Railway Group, issued the “Innovative Action Plan for Typical Application Scenarios of “Artificial Intelligence+Transportation” to fully launch the typical application scenario innovation action.
