The Shanghai Zhangjiang Pharmaceutical Production Base has now become an important supply hub in the Asia-Pacific region. In the third quarter of this year, the company plans to launch localized production of Boyouwei, an innovative drug for pulmonary fibrosis, at this base. Previously, Boehringer Ingelheim had already initiated a plan for the localized production of the diabetes drug O'Downing in China. The company said it will continue to expand its local production and packaging network in China in the future.
