On Thursday local time, according to media quoting relevant trade union sources, SK Hynix and its union have reached a preliminary agreement on 2026 salary and collective negotiations. According to the agreement, SK Hynix will increase its salary by 6.3% this year. At the same time, its much-publicized employee profit-sharing bonus distribution model has moved from the previous full cash payment to a combination plan of 40% cash and 60% of the company's stock. Last year, SK Hynix labor and management agreed to abolish the maximum profit dividend limit, stipulating that 10% of operating profit should be withdrawn every year as a bonus pool, and a distribution mechanism with 80% cash payment for the current year and 20% deferred payment in cash for two years. Under the preliminary agreement, 40% of the total bonus will be paid in cash for the current year; the remaining 60% will be distributed in the form of company shares. Of these, 40% of the total bonus can be freely cashed out during the year, and the remaining 20% of the shares will be deferred.
