Today, the “2026 Humanoid Robot Industry Development Report” compiled by the China Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence 100 People's Association was released at the 2026 World Robotics Conference. The report carried out in-depth analysis and judgment from the five dimensions of industry overview, development trend, technical map, industrial chain panorama, and application scenarios. It mainly introduced the connotations, strategic significance and trend prospects of humanoid robots, focused on analyzing the development situation in the five countries of China, the United States, Germany, South Korea, and Japan. The system sorted out the core technology system of humanoid robots, drew up a panorama of the humanoid robot industry chain in detail, and comprehensively analyzed seven typical application scenarios. The report made four core findings. First, technological innovation has entered a new stage of “cluster emergence”. Technology accelerates iteration, and the pace of high-end and intelligent whole machine products is accelerating. The humanoid robot's ability to sense the environment, make planning decisions, and motion control continues to improve, and its adaptability and stability in complex environments continue to improve. Second, the industrial chain has achieved a double leap between “quality, efficiency and energy level.” It has developed manufacturing capabilities for the entire humanoid robot industry chain, from key chips and components to complete machines. Third, industry applications have entered the deep-water zone of “full expansion”. Humanoid robots are moving faster from small-batch trials to normalized deployment and large-scale applications. In the first half of 2026, shipments of humanoid robots in China exceeded 40,000 units, further increasing the global share to 97%. Fourth, ecological construction forms a new paradigm of “symbiosis and co-prosperity.” Accelerate the construction of a “four-in-one” industrial ecosystem led by standard development, based on talent cultivation, expanded by international cooperation, and guaranteed by innovative infrastructure construction.
