Essity to Buy Brazilian Feminine Care Brands in $284 Million Deal

12:28 AM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Essity (ESSITY-B.ST, ESSITY-A.ST) agreed to acquire consumer health company Kenvue's feminine care business in Brazil for $284 million. The Sweden-listed hygiene and health company said Wednesday the transaction covers the ownership of the Carefree, Sempre Livre, and o.b. brands for sanitary pads, along with related manufacturing equipment. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval in Brazil, other customary conditions and the closing of the Kimberly-Clark and Kenvue transaction. Completion is expected in the second quarter of 2027.
