According to Optics Valley of China, on August 18, six science and technology innovation platforms were unveiled at the Tongji Hospital-Tianqin Biological Research Platform cooperation signing event, including the National Center for Major Public Health Events Laboratory Animal Center, Tongji Hospital Experimental Animal Center, Hubei Brain-Computer Interface Technology Innovation Center, Tongji Hospital Brain-Computer Interface Concept Verification Center, Tongji Hospital Brain-Computer Interface Research Institute, and Tongji Hospital-Tianqin Bio-Brain-Computer Translational Medicine Joint Laboratory. Focusing on key aspects of the transformation of brain-computer interface results, these platforms have a systematic layout: the Hubei Brain-Computer Interface Technology Innovation Center will focus on decoding neural signals, localization of core devices, and non-invasive, implantable brain-computer interface technology; the Proof of Concept Center will move the bar further forward, carry out pre-clinical verification of new technologies, new devices, and innovative drugs to reduce the risk of scientific research results to clinical transformation... On the same day, a number of major projects were launched simultaneously. Among them, the National Data Bureau's “Brain-Computer Interface High Quality Data Set Construction Project” has a total investment of 122 million yuan, and the construction period is 24 months. It will build a multi-modal high-quality data set around 10 types of diseases, including stroke recovery, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy.
