According to Wind data, up to now, out of 74 chemical companies in Shanghai that have predicted or disclosed results, 51 have increased net profit, accounting for 68.92%. Among them, 34 companies had a net profit increase of more than 100%. Among companies that have disclosed results, the profitability of the main business has improved markedly. Many interviewees believe that the recovery in the chemical industry is the result of a combination of increased demand-side resilience and supply-side “anti-domestic” policy restrictions. It is expected that the industry will continue in the second half of the year.
