A wildfire broke out in eastern Belgium on the 14th of this month. The Belgian Governor's Office of Liège Province reported on the 18th that the wildfires have now been initially brought under control, covering an area of about 3,000 hectares. Since there are peat wetlands scattered in the nature reserve where the wildfires occurred, underground fires are likely to continue to burn smelly. The fire department has strengthened ground fire fighting forces. The report also said that two firefighters were injured during the fire extinguishing process and are currently in stable condition.
