According to the “Mainland Enterprises' Global Layout: Hong Kong's Preferred Service Platform” research report released by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council on August 18, the will of mainland enterprises to expand their international business continues to rise. The report surveyed 2015 mainland enterprises in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta, Bohai Rim and the Midwest. Of these, 94% indicated their intention to jointly develop the “Belt and Road” countries and regions, a significant increase from 73% in 2023. Hong Kong Trade Development Council Research Director Pang Yi pointed out at the press conference that compared with three years ago, companies' willingness to go overseas has increased dramatically. They not only target emerging markets, but also focus on traditional market surveys showing that 91% of the companies surveyed intend to expand the ASEAN market, while more than 40% choose developed European countries, reflecting that enterprises are adopting a more comprehensive international layout strategy.
