S&P 500 futures fell Tuesday, pressured by a rise in Treasury yields amid concerns of persistent inflation and elevated oil prices. A pullback in semiconductor stocks also weighed on the broader market.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrials poked up one point to 53,545, thanks in part to a 1% advance in Home Depot shares after the home improvement giant posted a second-quarter earnings beat.
Futures for the much-broader index faded 33 points, or 0.4%, to 7,735.
Futures for the NASDAQ Composite slumped 331 points, or 1.1%, to 28,765.
Home Depot reported second-quarter results that beat analyst consensus expectations, though the stock only rose around 1% after the company kept its full-year guidance unchanged.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index chucked 2.5%, while in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng edged up 0.1%.
Oil prices gained 41 cents to $84.91 U.S. a barrel.
Gold prices fell $23.20 to $4,450.80 U.S an ounce.
