UK's NICE Recommends ALK-Abelló's Itulazax, Acarizax for Severe Allergic Rhinitis in Children

06:59 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, or NICE, recommended the use of ALK-Abelló's (ALK-B.CO) Itulazax and Acarizax allergy immunotherapy tablets for children with moderate to severe allergic rhinitis. Itulazax is intended for children aged five to 17 with birch pollen allergy and Acarizax for children aged five to 11 with house dust mite allergy. Both treatments will be available through the country's National Health Service. The Danish pharmaceutical company's Itulazax was previously recommended by UK's NICE for adults, while Acarizax was recommended for people aged 12 to 65.
