The Zhitong Finance App learned that recently, Light Origins (Light Origins) announced the completion of a pre-A round of financing of hundreds of millions of yuan. This round of financing was led by Guoke Investment, and institutions such as China Merchants Venture Capital and Xianghe Capital participated in the investment. The funds will mainly be used for large-scale artificial intelligence model training, multi-modal data infrastructure construction, software and hardware full-stack platform development, and team expansion with high talent density.

According to public information, Liangyuan Xinchuang was founded at the end of 2024. It is committed to building a basic model of embodied intelligence, exploring the extension of large model capabilities from digital space to the real physical world, and is pioneering the exploration of physical AGI in a three-stage paradigm.

Jiang Xu, founder and CEO of Liangyuan Innovation, said, “Every major breakthrough in artificial intelligence stems from breakthroughs in new paradigms, and not only relies on single-point innovation such as algorithms and model architectures.” Liangyuan Innovation pioneered and implemented the three-stage paradigm of “Scalable Pre-Training (Scalable Pre-Training), Scalable Alignment (Scalable Alignment), and Scalable Deployment (Scalable Deployment)”. Among them, large-scale pre-training aims to establish basic capabilities through large-scale data training; large-scale alignment further enhances model capabilities through reinforcement learning, etc.; and large-scale deployment pushes the basic model into the real world and continuously generates high-quality real-world data, forming a data flywheel that drives the continuous optimization of the basic model.

According to information, Jiang Xu, founder and CEO of Liangyuan Innovation, worked as an algorithm expert at OpenAI. Since 2019, he has completely experienced the evolution cycle of key technologies from InstructGPT and ChatGPT to GPT-4. In the GPT-4 technical report contribution list, Jiang Xu was mentioned 8 times, ranking first with OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman in the number of mentions.

At present, Liangyuan's innovation team has more than 100 people, accounting for more than 90% of R&D personnel. The algorithm team consists of PhDs from QS Top 20 universities and engineers from world-class technology companies; the hardware team members have experience in companies such as Huawei and DJI, and have complete experience in consumer-grade robots from product design to R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization. They are one of the few teams that truly have the ability to collaborate between hardware and software.
