According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Construction Development (00830) issued an announcement. The board of directors estimates that the Group's shareholders' profit for the six months ended June 30, 2026 (first half of 2026) will be approximately HK$133 million, while the profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ending June 30, 2025 will be approximately HK$386 million.
The decrease in profit expectations is mainly due to: developers' current investment attitude is still being cautious, resulting in a decrease in new project volume and revenue during the period and has not yet returned to past levels; settlement income from several projects failed to meet expected targets; and rising raw material prices and RMB appreciation led to an increase in sales costs, putting pressure on the gross profit of the project.
The Board notes that since 2025, the Hong Kong real estate market has shown signs of recovery. If the relevant trend continues, it is expected to have a positive effect on the future recovery of the local façade market and subsequent new construction volume. The Group also continues to optimize production and operation costs, and strives to keep project costs within a manageable range.
