On August 4, the Southeast Asian superapp Grab announced that net profit for the second quarter surged 620% year-on-year to US$252 million; revenue for the second quarter increased from US$819 million in the same period last year to US$997 million, higher than analysts' expectations of US$991 million. The increase was mainly due to increased revenue from the distribution, travel and financial services businesses. Grab expects full-year revenue of 2026 to be between US$4.1 billion and US$4.15 billion, higher than the previous forecast of US$4.04 billion to US$4.1 billion.
