EDX Medical, Partners Complete Validation of Rapid Pneumonia Test

06:14 AM EDT, 08/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EDX Medical Group (EDX.AQ) and its partners completed the development and technical validation of a rapid pneumonia test for critically ill patients. The digital diagnostics company said Monday the Ventilator-Acquired Pneumonia, or VAP, test has entered clinical use at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, UK. EDX Medical licensed the test's intellectual property and clinical data from Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the University of Cambridge and the UK Health Security Agency. EDX Medical and Cambridge University Hospitals have signed a four-year agreement for the company to supply the test to the hospital. Thermo Fisher Scientific partnered with EDX Medical and the hospital to develop and validate the test.
