The new regulations make it clear that electric bicycles used for express delivery and takeout services must be registered and hung with a special license plate, and “exclusive use for private cars” is implemented. Where use for express takeout services is discontinued, the regular license plate shall be changed within 30 days from the date of discontinuation. At the same time, newly purchased electric bicycles for express delivery and takeout services should meet the national standards of the 2024 “Electric Bicycle Safety Technical Specification” and be included in the Beijing Product Catalogue.
