According to Zhitong Finance App, Hong Kong Chinese Limited (00655.HK) announced that OUE Limited (a company listed on the main board of the Singapore Stock Exchange Limited, together with its subsidiaries, collectively known as “OUE Group”), a subsidiary of one of the Company's major joint ventures, issued the announcement of its profit guidelines for unaudited financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026 (this period) on the date of this announcement (OUE announcement). According to OUE's announcement, OUE Group is expected to record losses attributable to shareholders during this period. The losses are mainly due to losses of between 30 million and 50 million pk (equivalent to approximately HK$180 million to HK$310 million), mainly from anticipated losses of an investor whose business in mainland China is adversely affected by the general slowdown in the property market in mainland China and the current economic environment; and OUE Group's anticipated confirmed investments in investors recorded under the equity law ranged from 40 million to 60 million pk yuan (equal to An impairment loss of approximately HK$240 million to HK$370 million) (subject to finalization of the impairment assessment). As stated in the OUE announcement, losses from the performance of investment targets recorded under the equity law and anticipated depreciation of the OUE Group's investments recorded under the equity law are mainly non-cash in nature and have no significant impact on the OUE Group's operating cash flow and corporate financing requirements.
