After opening, it was connected and operated with the existing Xintang South to Shenzhen Airport section of the Suishen Intercity Railway, connecting important areas such as Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Zengcheng Development Zone, and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport to accelerate the construction of a longitudinal rail transit channel in eastern Guangzhou. Among them, as a major difficult project for the entire line, the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway Special Bridge constructed by the 22nd Bureau of China Railway has a total length of about 3,887 meters, and its cantilevered cast-in-place continuous beam span has a maximum span of 128 meters, making it the largest concrete continuous beam structure with a single span of the entire line. The Lihu Changda Tunnel section, which was built with the participation of the 14th Bureau of China Railway, is a key control section of the entire line. The construction team optimized the layout of various pipelines such as lighting, fire protection, monitoring, and power distribution within the section, strictly implemented special tunnel waterproofing processes, and completed the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment in the section to a high standard.
