SYS6041, a subsidiary of CSPC Innovation (300765.SZ), starts phase II clinical trial

Zhitong Finance App News, Shiyao Innovation (300765.SZ) announced that the company's holding subsidiary, Shiyao Group Jushi Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jushi Bio”), has recently launched an open, multi-queue, multi-center phase II clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SYS6041 in combination therapy for recurrent ovarian cancer.

SYS6041 is an antibody-drug conjugate developed by Jushi Biology that targets folate receptor α (FRα). The antibody binds specifically to the surface of cells expressing FRα and is internalized into the lysosome of the cell. It can release small molecules of toxins — topoisomerase I inhibitors through histoprotease-specific shearing in lysosomes, thereby killing tumor cells, and exerts a bystander effect on non-specific killing surrounding tumor tissue cells.
