Italian Business Confidence Grows in July; Consumer Sentiment Up

04:19 AM EDT, 07/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's business confidence index edged up to 95.6 points in July from the revised 95.3 points in June, according to data from statistics agency Istat published Friday. For the manufacturing sector, the confidence index rose to 89.6 points from the revised 88.6 points previously. The consensus estimate stood at 88.9 points. Meanwhile, Italian consumer confidence was 94.2 points, against the prior 92.4 points and the expected 92.5 points.
