On July 31, we learned from China General Nuclear Power Group that the CGN Ningde 200 MW offshore photovoltaic project was connected to the grid today at full capacity. The project is one of the first offshore photovoltaic projects in Fujian Province, and is also CGN's first “nuclear and optical co-site” offshore photovoltaic project. The project is located within the water area of the Ningde Nuclear Power Plant site in Beiwan Village, Taimushan Town, Fuding City. It uses the existing marine resources of the nuclear power base to achieve “complementary nuclear and optical” three-dimensional development. The total area of the site is about 3,020 acres, with an installed capacity of 200 megawatts, supporting the construction of a 20 MW/40 MW energy storage system. During the 25-year operation period of the project, the average annual feed-in electricity volume is expected to be about 300 million kilowatt-hours, which will reduce standard coal consumption by about 91,300 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by about 198,000 tons. The total length of the 220 kV transmission line supporting the project is 12 kilometers. It is a hub channel for electricity transmission. Among them, the cross-sea section tower is 138 meters high, making it currently the highest transmission tower in eastern Fujian.
