Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations Ling Ji co-hosted the 6th meeting of the Standing Working Group on Sino-Russian Border Local Economic Trade Cooperation and Special Economic Zone Cooperation and the 21st Meeting of the Sino-Russian Standing Working Group on Forest Resources Development and Utilization in Moscow on July 30, respectively, with Russian Vice Minister of Economic Development Ilychev and Russian Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Yulin. Ling Ji said that China is a major consumer and trading country of forest products, and in terms of forestry cooperation, China and Russia have formed a close cooperative relationship in the upstream and downstream production supply chains. We hope that the two sides will continue to enrich the types of trade in forest products, actively and steadily carry out deep processing cooperation, strengthen joint research on forest carbon sinks, promote cooperation in harvesting and processing equipment, strengthen the interface between green building materials standards, and help the two countries achieve the “double carbon” goal. We hope that Russia will effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises. After the meeting, the two sides jointly signed the minutes of the meeting.
