China Construction (601668.SH) signed a major overseas project worth 22.4 billion yuan

Recently, the company and the Ministry of Public Works of Kuwait signed a contract for the North Kabad sewage treatment plant and supporting projects in Kuwait. The project is located in the Kabad region of Jahra Province, Kuwait. It uses an integrated design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance (EPC+OM) model to mainly build supporting facilities such as a sewage treatment plant, 3 pumping stations and related transportation pipelines. The project contract amount was 999.85 million KD, equivalent to approximately RMB 22.4 billion. The implementation period included 5 years of design, construction, installation and commissioning, and 5 years of maintenance and operation. The project contract amount accounts for about 1.1% of the company's audited revenue in 2025.

After completion, the project will further enhance Kuwait's sewage collection, transportation, treatment and reclaimed water utilization capabilities, which is conducive to enhancing the company's international competitiveness and brand influence in the field of environmental protection project construction and operation.
