ST Renfu (600079.SH): HW243040 tablets obtained drug clinical trial approval notice

(“Research Institute Co., Ltd.”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, recently received the HW243040 tablet “Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice” approved and issued by the State Drug Administration.

HW243040 tablets are intended for the treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain and are a new small-molecule drug for oral administration. Neuropathic pain (NP) is a type of chronic pain caused by damage or disease affecting the somatosensory nervous system. It is divided into peripheral neuropathic pain (PnP) and central nervous system pathological pain. Clinically, PnP is more common. The pain lasts a long time or recurs, and is often accompanied by symptoms such as sleep disorder, anxiety, and depression, which seriously affects the quality of life. As a non-opioid analgesic, HW243040 tablets are based on a unique peripheral immune-neuromodulation mechanism.
