Rainbow New Energy (00438) Fa Ying Guang expects a net loss of about 440 million yuan to 495 million yuan in the first half of the year

According to Zhitong Finance App, Rainbow New Energy (00438) announced that the Group's net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company in the first half of 2026 is approximately RMB 440 million to RMB 495 million, an increase of approximately RMB 144 million to RMB 199 million compared with the net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company for the six months ending June 30, 2025 of approximately RMB 296 million.

The main reasons for the increase in the Group's net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company are as follows: 1. Affected by the contradiction between supply and demand and the mismatch of production capacity, the Group made every effort to reduce costs and increase efficiency to accelerate technological innovation and increase the sales share of high-value-added products. However, product prices continued to fall, leading to a decline in the gross margin of the Group's photovoltaic glass business. 2. Due to falling product prices, in accordance with the principle of prudence, the Group has prepared for impairment of some inventory.
